TEFL Certification with Job Placement Guarantee

This course was amazing! I wanted to do a TEFL course, and at first I was thinking about doing one online or something in the states, but I am SO glad I chose to do this one instead. Antigua is beautiful on its own, and definitely worth visiting, but I thought it was such a perfect location to take this course as well. Also doing this through the Maximo Nivel program was amazing. They were very accommodating, professional, and I felt very comfortable with all the staff that were involved in the program. I would definitely recommend this program to anyone thinking about getting the tefl certificate.

I took the TEFL certification course at Maximo Nivel in Cusco, Peru in September of 2015. I came into the course not really know what to expect. I realized pretty quickly that this was a very intense course...but I also realized all of the things I would be able to do with my TEFL certification. The course was a lot of work but was also a lot of fun. Claudia was an amazing instructor who put a lot of effort into making each day entertaining. She was available 24/7 to help us with any questions that came up, whether they were about class, Cusco, life, etc. I was really nervous going into practical teaching but I'm really glad that that was part of the course because I probably learned the most during that week. Although there were difficult times in the course, I would highly recommend it and say that it was definitely worth it in the end.

Getting my TEFL/TESOL certification was not what I expected but it ended up being one of the best experiences of my life. It had been a few years since I had been in school so I was a bit intimidated. However on the first day of class, I was met by a smiley, energetic, and kind teacher. Claudia is amazing instructor and brings energy and passion to the classroom. She is a great role model and I strive to teach my classes as she teaches hers. The long class hours flew by quicker than I could have imagined. Although there was a fair amount of classwork, Claudia was always available for help and guidance. She found local jobs as well as jobs around the world that we could apply to. Claudia also promised lifetime guidance with finding teaching jobs across the world as well as write a letter of recommendation.
During the four weeks, my class got extremely close and I found many of them to be great friends. Each person brought different strengths to the classroom and I was able to learn many things from them. I am looking forward to staying in touch with my TEFL family and I cannot wait to see where my certification takes us - the possibilities are endless!

I attended the TEFL course through Maximo Nivel July-August 2015. My course took place in La Antigua Guatemala. Not only did I fall in love with this gorgeous city, but I fell in love with the people and the culture I was surrounded by. Everything about my experience in Guatemala was absolutely incredible. Not only did I enjoy the sights and scenes, but the TEFL course as well. I was very skeptical of this course before I arrived, but it prepared me to teach English abroad more than I could have ever imagine. The course was definitely very intense, but very informative and well rounded. You would think long hours in a classroom would be terrible, but our instructor, Audra, made the course fun, interesting, and definitely worth while. I learned amazing techniques on how to teach English as a foreign language, now I feel genuinely prepared to teach abroad! I am still in awe of the amazing and impacting experience Maximo in Guatemala provided for me. I would recommend this course and place to anyone!! If you have the opportunity for this experience, do not pass it up!!!!
