Blue Corner Marine Conservation

Excellent experience with Andrew and Egi!
I had a lot of fun and learnt a lot of new things g's about corals and especially about reef restoration techniques!
I took the 4 weeks conservation program, including reef ecology, reef monitoring program, coral reef restoration and scientific diving week.
I ha the chance to improve my field experience and work on a multi year conservation project on coral reef.
I felt like to be in a family and couldn't ask for more.
I would recommend this program to everyone that has the chance to help our oceans!

Blue corner Marine Research

Amazing experience with experts in Marine Research and conservation latest findings and practices. Very hands-on training partly in class and Diving, building frames, installing frames underwater, collecting and attaching corals, maintenance, monitoring and more.. . Every aspect is covered and you acquire a valuable understanding of your role in protecting, informing and getting involved for our oceans ecosystems. You can follow either 4 weekly modules or focus on the one you are interested in the most. It's really a fun and knowledgeable experience that I recommend to anyone willing to learn in depth and do underwater marine research.

Blue Corner Marine Research Conservation Program

Completing the 3-week Coral Restoration and Marine Conservation program last year was literally life changing for me. It was one of the highlights of my existence so far, and would highly recommend to anyone. Learned so much especially with the concurrent diving activities and in-class learnings, and really felt like I was contributing alongside likeminded folks. I met a lot of friends while there, which was awesome as a solo traveller. I left with a lot of new knowledge, experiences, and adventures!

Blue Corner July 3 week Internship

I went to Blue Corner in 2022 for a 3-week internship program. It was an unforgettable experience for me. In addition to learning about the reef ecosystem and its conservation, we came across amazing creatures like a thresher shark, and a guitar shark. Andrew, Egi, and all the staff members were knowledgeable and friendly. During the first week, we learned about the inhabitants of the coral reefs, different species of fish, their behavior, and their diet. In the second week, we learned about coral biology and how to asses coral health, and in the last week we learned the ways to asses a coral reef's overall health and we transplanted some coral fragments into the damaged reef area. Also, every week we went to manta point to learn about manta conservation and their biology.

Coral Restoration Internship (3 weeks)

I came to Blue Corner for the 3 weeks Coral Restoration Internship after having done a Marine Conservation based Divemaster Training and Instructor Course in other places. The Coral Restoration and Marine Ecology topic was not completely new to me, but I still learned a bunch and got to enjoy a lot more dives in the waters of Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Penida. I especially enjoyed the hands-on part in week three and hope to come back some day to check on "our" frame. I hope the babies are growing!
Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Penida have beautiful dive sites with incredible biodiversity. Even if your not coming for the internship, I highly recommend staying for a couple of dives with Blue Corner. It's so worth it.
