Choate Rosemary Hall High School Study Abroad in Jordan

Choate Rosemary Hall’s four-week summer study abroad program in Amman, Jordan, is open to students who have completed one year of the Arabic language (or its equivalent). Students take Arabic language classes (Modern Standard Arabic and Jordanian colloquial) while exploring the rich cultural world of the city. In addition to language study, students also learn about the history of Jordan and traditional Islamic arts. In addition, there are excursions to Jordan’s most famous cultural and historic sites. While in Amman, students live in pairs with Jordanian families, for an immersive language experience and introduction to daily Jordanian life. This program gives students a mix of in-depth Arabic language instruction and cultural exploration.
