I went to Shanghai with Absolute Internship for two months last Summer and it was absolutely amazing. I was treated as an equal despite my age being much younger than my peers (I was 19 and most others were around 22) and there were many social events planned that helped make everyone feel at home. We were even given the opportunity to go to a town outside of Shanghai for the weekend and see a cultural opera. The people I met through Absolute I now feel I will know for the rest of my life -- that's how close we were.
As for the internship I was placed in, I was able to get a spot as a Public Relations Assistant at a marketing firm right across the street from the Pearl tower. It was a very legitimate position and easy to access from the Hotel we were staying in (the subway is a few blocks away). Absolute placed me in this position and provided me with hundreds of business cards, which really came in handy on the job and while networking.
Not to mention, the price was unbeatable. Most other internship programs I heard about were at twice the price and for half the time, and did not receive an experience near as positive as ours. I highly highly highly recommend Absolute Internship.

Hello everybody, I interned in Shanghai for 3 months last summer. Absolute Internship helped me find an internship that was related to my major. For me, the internship placement was the main attraction of AI and it was a truly great experience.

Also, the apartment exceeded my expectations, I liked it so much! Great location, loads of space and well furnished. It was located in a nice neighbourhood, only 7 minutes away from the subway station that can connect you to anywhere you want to go. The apartment was also close to the French Concession which is a nice area to hang out at night with your friends when you are bored.

Absolute internship provide me with a sim card, transportation card, and much more. The coordinators of the program are very friendly, I felt like if I had known them for years. Whenever I had a question they helped me, no matter the time or situation it was.

The price of the program is very considerable compared to other internship companies, you get a lot for what you pay. Their weekend trips are awesome, we used to hang out as a family. All the other interns were nice and very sociable, it's your family abroad.

I was impressed by the quality of Internships I was offered. I was offered a full time job after I finished my internship, but I was unable to take it because I still have to finish my degree. I had a great experience in Shanghai thanks to Absolute Internship.

Hi everybody! My name is Angelika and I did the Shanghai internship through Absolute Internship in the summer 2012. It was probably the best and most adventurous thing I have ever done in my life. I have found Absolute online, applied and got accepted. Then the summer came, and this amazing Chinese city - Shanghai, welcomed me for the next two months. On my first day I was a little bit scared and worried, however now I must say that it was just an anxiety. The whole working, social and travelling experience turned out to be a blast! I got placed in a small investment bank with the office just in the heart of Shanghai financial district, between the World Financial Center and Shanghai Stock Exchange. Due to the fact that it was a small, although extremely successful company, we had a chance to perform variety of tasks which would be hardly to experience in a big corporation. We were responsible for pretty much everything from spotting right investment opportunities, analyzing and suggesting the investment strategy, contacting CFOs, and preparing financial modelling for MBOs, LBOs and spin-offs. Moreover, I was fortunate enough and all my days I worked in the same office with my boss. His knowledge and banking experience benefited me a lot. I got to hear first hand stories about Wall Street and how the live of the banker really looks like. All in all, I would recommend Absolute Internship to everybody who is brave enough to step out of his/her comfort zone and go to China for the whole summer, to work hard, learn a lot, visit cool places and party like a celebrity!

- The work tasks given by my host company were challenging and included doing finance research, analysis of financial data, summary, acting as a source of information in meetings, sourcing investment opportunities and finding clients. Working hours were relaxed and as long as I have completed a given task to a high standard, I felt free to go home or engage myself in other activities. The internship provided me with real work experience which I doubt I would have acquired had I worked in a larger investment bank. I gained a lot of knowledge, but more importantly, I acquired life- long skills in the work place that will be very valuable for me in the future.

I did the Shanghai program this summer and spent 2 months in China. The Absolute staff was there all the time for me already from the first day picking us up at the airport, organizing the welcome meal, events every weekend and they always make sure to respond to phone calls/SMSs and emails whenever you need them. The business internship I did in an IT company was also really beneficial. I also particularly loved the weekend activities and group dinners that the program put together for us. It really made me feel special. We spent a weekend in a nearby city called Hangzhou where did sightseeing as well as went to nearby water towns that were fantastic! The business seminars arranged by Absolute Internship was also a favourite part of the program that I loved. Listening to these inspirational industry experts inspired me a lot for the future!
