Price Details

The cost is $4300 for the 5-month program after receiving the MASA grant. There is an additional $1000 scholarship available for most applicants, bringing the cost down to $3300. Further scholarships are listed on our website. Ask the Admissions Coordinator for more details. The summer 8-week program costs $350. For both programs you must cover your own airfare. Accommodation, most meals, trips, internship placement and social/education programming are included. Way More Israel is for Jewish students/graduates ages 19-30 (depending on the program).

About Program

Way More Israel is a multi-faceted 5-month program which features intensive Hebrew language classes, a choice of internship or volunteering concentration, and some time spent on a kibbutz/farm. Take the opportunity to immerse yourself into Israeli culture living like a local in Jerusalem’s Old City, through experiential learning, and getting to know the people and country first-hand. Unique trips throughout Israel, thought-provoking workshops and discussions about Israel and Jewish heritage and cultural encounters ensure that you will get “way more” out of your time in Israel.

Way More Israel also offers 8 week programs in the summer.

Way More Israel is run by the Heritage House youth hostel which has provided hospitality to Jewish travellers in Jerusalem's Old city since 1985.

Way More Israel is for Jewish college graduates ages 21-30 (5 month program) and students ages 19-26 (summer program).

What is your favorite travel memory?

One of the most beautiful things about Way More Israel are the participants. Way More Israel hosts students from all around the globe, many individuals not knowing anyone else who has decided to participate in the program.

One of my favorite memories is the way the participants would hang out together at the end of each day, sharing their experiences with one another. By the end of the trip the group really felt like a family!

What is the best story you've heard from a return student?

The best return student story isn't one I've heard, rather one I've seen. Many of the Way More Israel participants have returned to Israel on many different programs! It's great to be able to catch up with returning students, and hear about their many continued adventures.

If you could go on any program that your company offers, which one would you choose and why?

I wouldn't hesitate to be a part of Way More Israel's Internship program! It has a great balance of professional and spiritual development.

The daily schedule is tailored to each participant's internship, maximizing their professional development opportunities, while also allowing for plenty of time to explore the country of Israel, meet up with friends and family, and engage in the community of the old city in Jerusalem!

What makes your company unique? When were you especially proud of your team?

Way More Israel is a unique program in Israel because it is one of the first and only programs of its kind to be located in the heart of the old city of Jerusalem!

Getting to wake up each morning in the old city, walk down ancient roadways to classes and internships, and be only a breath away from the western wall is a once in a life-time opportunity!

The team at Way More Israel works very hard to make this experience as special as possible, bringing in speakers who have spoken all around the world, arranging cultural exchanges with native Israelis, offering an immersive Hebrew language program, and pairing participants with great internships.
