Italian Language School in Florence

All in all, it was a very nice experience. The course was not about studying from books all day long -- nobody likes to do that! -- but learning with fun, through communicating and real time practicing. That's exactly what I was looking for! Playing games to start new conversations were encouraging not to be afraid of making mistakes. I think that was a very nice methodology to learn a new language, especially Italian. I'm very grateful to all the stuffy, and, in particular to the director, prof. Romagnoli.

Ho fatto un corso di lingua italiana per migliorare la mia lingua parlata e anche scritta:

Dopo 3 settimane (8 ore per giorno) devo dire che tutto il corso e' stato molto divertente con lezioni diverse (grammatica, conversazione, lettura, dettato, film ecc.) e non e' stato mai noioso. Ciò è molto buono! Grazie molto agli insegnanti molto motivati con le idee diverse che mi hanno aiutato ad apprezzare il corso. Grazie a tutto lo staff per i consigli, le sere in centro a Firenze sono state molto divertenti.

IE provides excellent language programs tailored to learners of all levels and across a variety fo disciplines. The instructors and the administrative staff are very competent, effective and helpful. IE is highly recommended to those looking for a gateway to la bella vita. There is really nothing better in Florence if you want to immerse yourself into the local culture and lifestyle and apprehending by first hand experience such a beautiful language as Italian. It doesn't really get any better than that, trust me!

We have taken an intensive language course at the Instituto Europeo in the past two weeks. The days were long and tiring, but it was also fun. A big thank you to the teachers Siliva and Alessandro, who not only taught us a lot, but also had great tips for Florence and the surrounding area.

Wir haben in den letzten beiden Wochen einen Intensiv-Sprachkurs am Instituto Europeo gemacht. Die Tage waren lang und anstrengend, aber es hat auch Spass gemacht. Ein grosses Danke an die Lehrer Siliva und Alessandro, die uns nicht nur viel beigebracht haben, sondern auch super Tipps fuer Florenz und Umgebung hatten.
Fuer einen noch angenehmeren Aufenthalt haetten wir uns noch ausfuehrlichere Arbeitsunterlagen und etwas mehr Modernitaet der Schule gewuenscht.
Wenn man in Florenz einen Sprachkurs macht, muss man auf jeden Fall auch Florenz und die Toskana gesehen haben.

It was a very enjoyable stay. I am happy with the course. The lessons were interesting, the teachers involved. The course was conducted professionally, the classes were "seriously" - there were homework, tests. The school teaches to speak, write, and of course there are grammar classes. You can count on great progress!

To był bardzo udany pobyt. Jestem zadowolona z kursu. Lekcje były ciekawe, lektorzy zaangażowani. Kurs był prowadzony profesjonalnie, zajęcia były „na poważnie” – były prace domowe, testy. Szkoła uczy mówić, pisać, i oczywiście są zajęcia z gramatyki. Możesz liczyć na duży postęp!

Wszyscy w szkole są bardzo mili i uczynni, zawsze uśmiechnięci. Chętnie doradzają co warto zwiedzić, gdzie zjeść, jak dojechać.

Otoczony językiem włoskim chłoniesz język jak gąbka – nie ma lepszego i przyjemniejszego sposobu nauki.

No i Florencja – urzekająca, piękna i zniewalająca!

The two-week individual course, or super-intensive course as it is called here, was a great experience and made a big difference in my language. Thanks to the good structure of the courses with grammar lessons in the morning and conversation exercises in the afternoon, you will be linguistically 'fit' in no time at all. Especially my two teachers Caris and Sara got the best out of my language skills and after two weeks of intensive courses I can speak Italian much better than I would have expected at the beginning.
During the course you will receive various working documents, which, however, often lack the finishing touches to structure and clarity. In order to make the experience even better overall, I would have liked a somewhat more modern learning environment.

If you take this course, you can be sure not only to improve your Italian significantly, but also always get the best tips for restaurants, excursions and 'must do's. All in all definitely recommendable!

Der zweiwoechige Einzelunterricht, bzw. Superintesivkurs wie er hier heisst, war eine tolle Erfahrung und hat mich sprachlich ein grosses Stueck weitergebracht. Durch die gute Struktur des Kurse mit Grammatikunterricht am Vormittag und Konversationsuebungen am Nachmittag wird man im Handumdrehen sprachlich 'fit'. Vor allem meine beiden Lehrerinnen Caris und Sara haben dabei das Beste aus meinen Sprachkenntnissen rausgeholt und nach zwei Woche Intesivkurs kann ich deutlich besser Italienisch als ich das anfangs erwartet haette.
Waehrend des Kurses erhaelt man diverse Arbeitsunterlagen, denen allerdings oft der letzte Schliff an Struktur und Uebersichtlichkeit fehlt. Um die Erfahrung in Summe noch besser zu machen, haette ich mir ein etwas moderneres Lernumfeld gewuenscht.

Wer diesen Kurs macht kann sich sicher sein nicht nur sein Italienisch deutlich aufbessern zu koennen sondern bekommt auch stets die besten Tipps fuer Restaurants, Ausfluege und 'Must Do's. Alles in allem definitiv empfehlenswert!

I took one-to-one Italian classes at this institute last year. Not only was I able to improve my Italian but also learned more about Italian culture and other aspects of the Italian people daily lives. Which is just great, I think! My teacher, Laura, was very, very supportive and had a very effective methodology. She was very well trained. All in all, I highly recommend this school. I think you cannot really get any better than this in Florence, or perhaps in the entire Tuscany! Just an amazing experience and an amazing school!

Now, when everything is behind me, I can perceive my whole trip to Florence trying to remain objective as much as I can. From the first day I knew that I made the right choice and that Florence will be an unforgettable experience. When I arrived I felt something else in the air from what I feel in Belgrade. The streets were full of tourists from all over the world, delicious aromas of nearby restaurants and historical monuments that were breathtaking. Then, in a few days I started attending Italian courses at IE, and I was full of positive impressions. I met many foreign friends that I will always remember, I practiced and improved Italian every day trying to say everything I would like to say in Serbian. Even I was looking forward to visiting the galleries, museums and monuments for which Florence is very famous in the world, and there is no better way to explore Italian culture than to explore it with your friends. I also want to say a few words from our professor Alessandro. Each class did everything it could to improve lessons with its grammar materials and conversation topics. All the classes were fun in his way and I must say it was nice to have him as a professor. Praise also to IE administration and director Rinaldo for being very kind throughout the course. I bring many memories of this trip and I hope we will see you at least once more. Regards!

Adesso, quando tutto è dietro di me, posso percepire tutto il mio viaggio a Firenze cercando di rimanere obiettivo più che posso. Dal primo giorno sapevo che ho fatto una scelta giusta e che Firenze sarà un'esperienza indimenticabile. Quando ero arrivato sentivo qualcos'altro nell'aria da quello che sento a Belgrado. Le strade erano pienissime di turisti del tutto il Mondo, profumi buonissimi di ristoranti nelle vicinanze e di monumenti storici che erano mozzafiato. Poi, tra qualche giorno ho cominciato a frequentare i corsi italiani a IE, e ero pieno di impressioni positivi. Ho conosciuto tanti amici stranieri che ricorderò per sempre, praticavo e miglioravo italiano ogni giorno cercando a dire tutto quello che vorrei dire in serbo. Anche non vedevo l'ora di visitare le gallerie, i musei e i monumenti per cui Firenze è molto famosa nel Mondo, e non c'e un modo migliore per esplorare la cultura italiana che esplorarla con i tuoi amici. Anche voglio dire qualche parola di nostro professore Alessandro. Ogni classe faceva tutto quello che poteva per migliorare i lezioni con i suoi materiali di grammatica e con i temi per la conversazione. Tutte le classi erano divertenti al suo modo e devo dire che è stato piacere avere lui come professore. Le lode anche ad amministrazione IE e dirretore Rinaldo per essere molto gentile durante tutto il corso. Porto tanti ricordi del questo viaggio e spero che ci vediamo almeno un'altra volta. Saluti!
