Friendly and quick communication

Once they guided me through all the necessary paperwork for a visa, I started receiving job offers almost immediately.

They also sent me messages when I landed and asked how I was, which I appreciated.

You a provided with clear messages about what you need, and what to expect for each part of the process. I rarely felt confused about what was happening, and anytime I wasn't sure they were able to provide a quick and clear answer. I highly recommend it for anyone interested in teaching in South Korea!

What is your advice to future travelers on this program?
Don't worry about how you'll be received in the country. The majority of people here are very polite and soft-spoken.

So Helpful!

I applied to so many jobs after getting my TEFL certificate and didn't get even one reply, within two days of being accepted by ESL I had an interview with a school. Throughout the whole process of coming to Korea, ESL have helped me with everything, from helping me with the visa process to planning for my flight, I genuinely dont think I would even be in Korea right now if it wasn't for ESL's help. They are a brilliant company, especially for new English teachers as they ensure the teachers have lots of support both before and after they get to Korea!

Very supportive

Throughout my journey , the programme has been very supportive. From my interview to my visa application. Everything was easy as they would give me step by step instructions and detailed information that made my move easy and smooth. I truly do recommend anyone wanting to teach in a foreign land to join and get the same experience as I did . I wouldn’t have had a fast transition to my journey if the programme didn’t play a hand in it. I am truly grateful for the assistance and hope you also choose this programme for your journey

Seoul ESL experience

My experience with Seoul ESL was excellent. I felt very safe and supported throughout the whole process. Whenever I ran into any problems, the team was quick to resolve them. The communication was very prompt and easy. I personally worked with Grace, not only was she efficient and professional, but also very kind and thoughtful. Going to a new country for the first time, especially when you don't speak the language, can be a little scary. I didn't feel that way because she was with me every step of the way.

Great Program

My experience through this recruiter was quite excellent! The communication was great throughout the whole process. Whenever i had a question, it was answered and in a timely fashion. They also arranged someone to pick me up at the airport. Even though there were some troubles, and miscommunications with the driver, Grace was very helpful and quick to respond. This allowed me to get picked up successfully. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone who asks. They were helpful and wonderful.

Great Recruiter, Highly Recommend

Seoul ESL is an excellent recruiter that helped me every step of the way to Korea. They are excellent at communicating and make sure you know exactly what you need to receive a VISA. They sent a car to pick me up from the airport and were extremely kind throughout the process. If I ever look for another teaching job in Korea, I will be sure to reach back out to them. They will help you find the job you most prefer and be kind the entire way through. I will not use another recruiter. Thank you so much!

Pros
  • Communication
  • Friendly
  • Effective

Great company to work with

I worked with Grace. From the very get go, she was polite and responded fast to the many emails I sent her. Grace not only answered all questions I had but put my mind at ease by providing my with an abundance of information that I had never even considered beforehand.

When I first decided to work in Korea, I had a somewhat specific list, such as location, requirements from the school such as working hours, and distance from the work place to the accomodations. Not only did I find a school that had the exact hours I would like to work but my accomodation is literally a 5 minute walk which made me very happy especially as I didn't want to have to try to navigate buses and subways from day 1.

Pros
  • Fast response
  • Continued support thought every part of the process
  • Constant communication

SeoulESL Consulting

Sammie and May helped my boyfriend and I find a fantastic job in Paju-si, South Korea. It was one of the first job interviews that they found for us and the school had no bad reviews and was not on the hagwon blacklist like a lot of other schools we were offered by other recruiters. They helped us with all of our documents, flight bookings etc. and they always responded within 24 hours during the work week. Once we were in South Korea they helped us through the airport and checked up on us a few days later to see if we had settled in properly.
We love our school and we really think we were lucky to find such an awesome one, and it would not have been possible with SeoulESL!

Incredibly Communicative and Professional

ESL Consulting went above and beyond in being with me step-by-step through the recruiting process. Joy, especially, was one of the most honest, compassionate, and knowledgeable recruiters I have ever worked with. Replying at 7 AM, detailing required documents, making sure my well-being was also being taken care of, accomodating difficult and special circumstances, and checking up on me consistently the entire process are just a few of the reasons why I wholeheartedly trust Joy and why I highly recommend SeoulESL.

Pros
  • Communication
  • Trust
  • Professionalism

Seoul ESL Review

Seoul ESL was the first recruitment agency I've ever used, and I have to say, my experience has been a positive one.

Joy worked with me through the interview stage and paired me up with potential schools. There was a bit of a struggle at times due to the language barrier, but nothing that was not resolved quickly. While it took a while to get some interviews, the schools she scheduled interviews with fit the criteria I had given her in our initial interview. I am super happy with the school I chose, which couldn't have been done without their help!

Closer to my departure, I started working with Lucy. She was very polite and thorough regarding important information for pre-departure and arrival into the country. She answered my questions promptly and with detail, making it much easier for me to anticipate my next steps.
This is definitely something I would recommend to any new traveler or teacher to South Korea - ask questions! Seoul ESL was very helpful, and no matter how silly or obvious the question seemed, they answered it with great attention to detail or gave good advice. As a result, I definitely felt more prepared coming over.

The only negative I can think of is the communication - and by this, I mean the time difference. There was a 13-hour time difference between us when we communicated, so often times I would be waiting a while for an email. I also had to adjust my schedule to accommodate the difference - for example, I often had to be prepared to work on Sunday and make sure that all of my important emails were sent out by Thursday if I wanted a response before the weekend. This is not something that Seoul ESL could have helped or prevented, but it did add some stress at times.

Overall, I had a great experience with Seoul ESL, and I would definitely recommend it!

Pros
  • Insightful, detailed and informational responses.
  • Respectful of your profile/intake interview criteria.
  • Patient and responsive to inquiries.
Cons
  • Time difference.
  • Delayed responses - due to the time difference.
