One of my highest and most cherished values throughout my life has always been education. I have a master's degree in psychosynthesis and a bachelor's degree in information technology systems administration. However, I will be certified as an English teacher for the first time, and I feel honored to say so. Nevertheless, I've spent the past year instructing Business English online while also learning. I have never received official training, thus the ITTT Curse has been the most significant turning point in my new career.

This 120 TEFL course was very efficient to those working persons giving a specific timeframe to complete. The resources for additional information was very useful especially for teachers to use in the future. The course was effective and easy to follow and prompt responses were given from the tutors if needed. It gave a broad overview of content that is essential for English learning that I did not know existed. The information was clear and concise going straight to the point to help the reader understand. Many examples were given to help in future if any issues is to occur and how you can relate to them to the students.

I.completed this course several years ago, but plans change, and I did not teach then as planned. Now finally I am using the materials as I start my new teaching career in Thailand. I am reviewing the course modules in preparation so they will be fresh again in my mind, and I can follow up on the many preparation recommendations they provide.

In this course I found that the complexity of the English language is presented in a very well segmented form. The modules alternate between technical aspects and practical presentation aspects, so I was never bogged down with grammatical overdose. I found the follow-up support to be very valuable too, as I become a teacher. This course had everything I had hoped for at onset, and went beyond my expectations an many areas.

I recently completed the 120 hour TEFL course and I must say that it really exceeded my expectations. Been an ALT and taking this course has really broadened my scope of knowledge in the teaching world. I learned and unlearned so many things. There is definitely no need to pay extra for the videos and tutors. Everything is written for a ninth-grade reading comprehension and all the concepts are kept quite shallow. No critical thinking is required to pass with a 90% or higher in all the units.

The vast majority of the theories and pedagogy are only discussed in a sentence or two, so you don't get a very rounded perspective on teaching ESL. There is only one method that is used in any detail, so that you feel you have no choice but to use that method in your own teaching because it's the only one you really understand.

If you already have a strong command of English, just be aware that the grammar and the poorly-aged content can make the units a bit of struggle. The materials clearly have not been updated in a decade or two.

Some of the units will make you do your own research because they don't cover it, but still require you to know it. This includes having to read a downright offensive piece about judging a culture based on its masculinity level (femininity is not a part of this piece as they take the view that femininity is simply the far low scale of masculinity).
