About Program

Do you want to stay in a beautiful countryside resort for free while meeting talented youth & discovering the local culture? Welcome to Angloville.

As an English speaker, you will join our sponsored cultural exchange programme and stay in one of our beautiful venues in Poland for 1 to 3 weeks and help European language students practise English through a series of conversations, games, workshops, and fun-packed activities. You are not required to be a formal teacher but simply a partner for conversation while having a culturally immersive experience.

All programmes are conversation-based and consist of 1 on 1 and small group conversations, games and activities, no classroom teaching involved! Due to a busy multicultural environment, the programmes are an intensive intellectual experience as you may end up speaking with various people for the majority of the day in a laid back setting.
More than 8000 participants go through the programme each year and they love it!

Poland Angloville

Three weeks spent in Krakow and Warsaw Poland was amazing! People, places, culture, story sharing; all was more than I hoped. Coordinators were great, venues often jaw dropping. One really leaves with the sense that you made an impact on the participants...and they on you. Whatever age of native speaker and participant, all were very impressed with the program. I am very excited to try other venues, but will always have these in my back pocket for future rediscovery!

Angloville Juniors Poland

I have no regrets doing Angloville as it was a brilliant and fufilling experience. The Polish participants were lovely, and it was amazing to meet likeminded native speakers from around the world. I feel like I have made great friends for life. I'd also say Anglovile improved my confidence.

I would recommend Angloville as it is a great way to travel + see unique, non touristy, areas of a country for a very low price as they cover food, accommodation and travel. However, it is worth mentioning that Angloville do not cover transport costs between venues.

Overall it was a great experience

What would you improve about this program?
An incentive for volunteers as we put in a lot of hours. I also wish there was more resources to aid speaking sessions such as games involving speaking. This would be helpful especially for when we get a shy participant.

Great experience

Volunteering was a great experience for me. I enjoyed all of the different activities they offered and meeting amazing people. I spent three weeks with angloville. I did two junior programs and one adult program. They are quite different but they are both amazing. All of the venues are great and unique. They are all in an area of Poland i wouldn't of seen if it wasn't for Angloville. I am glad I found this program and I will probably come back in the future.

Good Opportunity for Those Involved

I volunteered for two weeks in Warsaw, Poland and was surprised to meet some truly incredible people throughout each program. It is a great introduction to teaching English for those who see this as a piece of their future. It is also a great opportunity for those who maybe don’t see a future in teaching because it is a somewhat easy and enjoyable experience as you meet people from different cultures!

What would you improve about this program?
More information on TEFL before finishing the registration process would have been nice because I would’ve added an additional week to my volunteering and done that from the beginning. Also, having more information on what to expect from each venue would have been nice to know ahead of time.

Angloville experience

I had a great time working at an Angloville camp outside Krakow, Poland. The work was accurate to what was advertised and I felt that I made a difference in the lives of the Polish natives. Though a bit vague in description, I thought the camp to be what I expected, and was surprised to find that I improved my communication skills while teaching. The hotel we worked at was more than adequate, with three free meals a day, pool, and other various activities.

What would you improve about this program?
I think it could be better marketed with more detail in the program description. There were a lot of great aspects of the program that were not highlighted beforehand that would make me and others more likely to attend. Specifically the one-on-one conversations are not well explained.

Angloville 2018

I completed three Angloville adult programmes in March and April - two in Poland and one in the Czech Republic. All three were very enjoyable and interesting experiences. Taking part in the Angloville programmes was a great way to see new places, meet new people and gain EFL teaching experience. I particularly enjoyed getting to know and wonderful volunteers and participants, many of whom I will keep in touch with and hopefully meet again.
Although I only signed up for the three programmes required to obtain the TEFL certificate, I will most probably apply take part in more programmes in future, and would definitely recommend the program to both volunteer native speakers and to learners.

An Experience Like no Other

My experience with Angloville was absolutely amazing. Great food, great accommodations, and absolutely incredible connections with the locals. It is a complete and, in my opinion, the best way to experience a new country. If you get the ability to travel abroad, go to Poland and have an Angloville experience. Poland is super underrated. From the nature and beautiful sunsets, make sure you have Poland on your travel list. I wouldn't change a thing, and I cannot wait to return.

Volunteer in Poland

I had the opportunity to participate in a program in Poland, Romania, and Czech Republic. Through this experience, I was able to learn a lot about the Polish, Romanian, and Czech culture. I had a great time conversing with the participants and volunteers. It was quite rewarding to see the participants gain confidence as their English language skills developed. It was an amazing cultural exchange experience. I would highly recommended to everyone!

Questions & Answers

Probably. I attended one session where one of the “Native Speakers” was not really a native speaker, but did have excellent English skills. You will have to check with Angloville.
