About Program

Thailand is a warm and friendly country and no doubt you’ll fall in love with the place and the people as soon as you arrive. They call it ‘The Land of Smiles’ and there’s no other place in the world as open-hearted or welcoming, so volunteering in Thailand is the perfect way to make new friends and fully immerse yourself in a brand new culture.

Our volunteer in Thailand programs arefor teaching and elephant conservation and are located in Phang Na (for Teaching) and Chiang Mai (for Elephant programs). We work only with loocal grass root organizations that give you a real 'thai' experience. You will volunteer away from the touristy areas and amongst friendly communities who will invite you to experience their traditional way of life and diverse eco-systems in an authentic and non-intrusive way.

How have you changed/grown since working for your current company?

The transition from corporate training to conducting the cultural immersion and project orientation program has not only been an extension to my profession but has also been personally transformational and satisfying.

I have become more informed, flexible and grateful. Having met and worked with volunteers from diverse ethnicities and cultures has given me immense exposure in terms of experiential learning. It has made me appreciate my own country and its rich cultural heritage more than ever.

What is the best story you've heard from a return student?

There have been many inspiring stories and life changing moments. What has stood out the most has been the love and selflessness of the volunteers. I have noticed that volunteering has changed the lives of the volunteers in that it helps them appreciate their lives, not take things for granted, and realize that happiness is much more than possessing material goods.

I have also been moved by the love that exudes from the volunteers. It has made me realize that love is universal; no matter who we are, where we are from, or what language we speak, love knows no boundaries.

If you could go on any program that your company offers, which one would you choose and why?

I would love to explore the programs in my country first before going abroad. I would definitely choose the family volunteering program over the others because I want my son to have this amazing experience early in life. The experiences he would have doing this program would help shape him into a good human being, which I believe is, and should be, the ultimate purpose of life.

What makes your company unique? When were you especially proud of your team?

I am extremely proud to be working with an excellent team. What makes it unique is the involvement of a number of strong, independent women at different locations in developing nations.

I also like that we are a small organization, which enables us to work closely and bond well. This is in sync with our Indian philosophy of "vasudhaiva Kutumbakam," which means the whole world is one single family.

What do you believe to be the biggest factor in being a successful company?

I strongly believe the biggest factor in being a successful company is having the right mindset. It determines your business mission, its vision, culture, and work ethics. Thus, the primary objective is to value your customers and make happy memories for them.
