Yes, I recommend this program

I'm up to my third placement, that has to say something:)

As my headline stated I'm up to my third placement with Au Pair Link. They've made every transition super smooth and gone above and beyond their working requirements to make me feel supported. With every slight hiccup I've had a positive and proud employee return with not one but multiple solutions.

In turn I feel proud to say with a big smile upon my face when asked "which angency are you through?"

"Au Pair Link".

What would you improve about this program?
The only change I would make would be to have one consistent programme manager, instead of having the four that I've been handed over to.

'Professional but fun'

Having looked through many different options while researching Au Pairing in New Zealand, I can safely say that Au Pair Link was the most impressive, and my experience of the company solidly backs that up. The support I've received as an Au Pair is unbelievable; throughout the matching process, while finding my Host Family, and now that I'm here, living it through. Professional but fun, and really well-prepared and available. Unfailingly supportive.

What would you improve about this program?
Continuity of programme managers. I've had three already, and I've only been here 2 months! The support has been great, but it's just a lot of chopping and changing.

Questions & Answers

An applicant can apply at 17 – they will not be able to come until they are 18 as that is the legal age for a working holiday visa. We do welcome applicants that are 17 however.

I honestly don’t know the answer to that but my guess is that it completely depends on the family. I don’t know that they would be completely opposed but it would probably require interviewing both and seeing how both people interact with the kids.

Hi Matthew, Absolutely male candidates are accepted as au pairs! In terms of visa, as long as you are between the ages of 18 - 30 (assuming you are a US citizen?) then you shouldn't have a problem getting a working holiday visa after you apply. Hope this helps! Mallory
