Price Details
Cost covers all program activities, permits, lodging, and transportation during the course, as well as cost of certifications including Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Wilderness First Responder (WFR) certification, CPR, and Leave No Trace (LNT) Trainer certification. Most meals are included, with the exception of some in-town meals or personal snacks.

Program Instructors provide professional, teaching-level knowledge of the NCOAE core curriculum, including leadership, outdoor skills & environmental science lessons in addition to certification.

About Program

Our classroom will stretch from the Appalachian Mountains and rivers of the Pacific Northwest to the snow-capped volcanoes of Ecuador on a course designed from students interested in personal growth, professional development, and the acquisition of technical skills.

Explore North Carolina’s largest wilderness area, as you practice leadership & outdoor technical skills. Then head to the Pacific Northwest for Wilderness First Responder training and a multi-day whitewater rafting adventure. Next, travel to Quito, Ecuador for adventure and cultural immersion, while learning about sustainable farming. You'll travel to the Amazon basin, remote indigenous villages, and climb peaks in Cotopaxi National Park on the adventure of a lifetime.
