In one word... WOW

The experience itself has been amazing. I have learnt a lot and it is of course always nice to work with airplanes. Also the connections I have established will come to good in my later career. I didn't want to go to New Zealand only to do my internship over here but of course also to experience New Zealand itself. And in one word... WOW. It is so beautiful over here and around every corner there is something stunning to see. I have got friends from all over the world now.

A hands-on approach has been invaluable

As my internship draws to a close and I reflect back on all I have learned, I realize what an excellent experience this has been. I gathered much knowledge in the classroom, but a hands-on approach has been invaluable. It has served as a beneficial ending to my formal education. Mark & his team have done some excellent research and placed me in one of my dream institutes to do an internship. Thank you.

Terrible experience, if you have money to throw away you can risk it

The worst experience possible. I've decided to become their intern based mainly on the positive reviews of this company that I found online so I've decided to write my own story and maybe save some people out there from wasting their time and money. So the company promises that they will arrange max of 3 interviews for you within 12 weeks with possible hosting companies or a refund. During the initial phone call they convinced me that I should go for 3 month internship because otherwise no one will be interested so I said ok (even though I knew working 3 months for free will be tough financially). After about 8 weeks of silence and after I remind them about myself they started to coming up with the various names of the companies (some very good) that would like to host me but they would like to do it for a shorter period of time than 3 months or in a different time of the year. I was agreeing to everything, changing my plans and jobs according to them. But in the end all of those companies were not interested as it turned out. There were no interviews. Finally I got an interview after 13 weeks of waiting. It supposed to be skype interview. I spend two hours waiting for some guy to call. Later they told me he just "changed his mind". I started mentioning refund option and then miracle. After 16 weeks I have interview and I got internship. Working hours 8-17 Mon-Fri. As it turned out I worked the total of 8 days (few hours each) during 2 months of internship. Last three weeks I didn't get to do anything at all. I was signalling the problem to Internnzoz but they ignored me cause they already got my money and didn't care. Finally at the end I got an offensive email from them, saying that everything is my fault etc. etc. and that it was me who quit... Well that's interesting cause I was the one who was calling and mailing the hosting company every few days asking if they need me or if I could come and do something for them.... I wouldn't even be mad if they would just be fair to me, say sorry at least but
sending accusations at the end it was just pathetic. They also blocked me on facebook so I wouldn't be able to review them there (Just to clarify I had work experience from 4 countries (3 countries in the industry that I chose for my internship) )So I PAID A LOT OF MONEY FOR THEM TO FIND ME 8 DAYS OF INTERNSHIP.

Response from Intern OZ and Intern NZ

Dear Mateusz,

We are very sad with your review. We understand that getting involved into our programme is an investment and may take some time to get the right internship for you. But we're always interested in finding the right role for our candidates.

We offer a maximum of 2 interviews with companies and we suggest to have a 3 month experience so that the learning process is very enriching. We constantly communicate to our interns and the companies to make sure that the experience is going well.
We wrote you and even asked you to be our Intern of the Week, something we do to focus on an intern's experience and an opportunity to send something home to family and friends.
This is not something we pay people to do, but after submitting the article you were expecting a payment, which is not possible for us to do since this is a voluntary task.

We would have appreciated that you could have given us a call or let us know that you were not having a nice experience. According to the feedback that you gave us on the Intern of the week, you were having a good time.
And then, when we told you that this was a voluntary role, you told us that you only interned for 8 days and didn't complete the internship period.

Also, we would like to clarify that all the reviews that we receive are from all our interns, where they share their experience with everybody and for other interns.

We value all kind of feedback and reviews, and are always open to improvements.

We hope you can take this response as positive and we wish you the best of luck in your career.

The work experience I had was a once in a life-time

The internship experience I had with the team was so great, I'm so happy to have this opportunity with them! I had a lot of really great work experience and exposure to the types of project available and learnt so much each day. The people at the company were so kind and helpful and I'm so happy to have met them all! The only thing I would change was perhaps to be placed on a specific project and work closely under one of the project managers in the field. I could be assigned tasks by one of the project managers as conditions change on the project, this way I would just feel more involved in a specific project and be more involved on a coordination and process level. Other than that, the experience I gained in the field and working with everyone was amazing.
New Zealand is whole other magical world! I worked with another intern where we could adventure outside of Auckland on the weekend for hikes, caving, night kayaking to see the glow worms, and fishing! The people at my company were so kind and helpful introducing me to all the delicious pineapple lumps and biscuits! ...there were minor withdrawals when I got home because they aren't sold here in Canada... The work experience I had was a once in a life-time. It has opened so many doors here in Canada in my field!

I think you guys are doing great job and involving students in the lot of activities outside the work

I took full advantage of the opportunity given by the Internnz and I have extended my internship to the mid-December. I think you guys are doing great job and involving students in the lot of activities outside the work.(However I was not able to attend any due to my work commitment, as I work on weekends on another job to get some monetary benefits). Internnz is doing great job and I am really impressed with their service. They follow up with students and believe in building good relation with the students. My internship coordinator even came to my work which was very impressive with there followup. Keep doing what you are doing guys :) Studying and living in New Zealand is a great experience of my life....I learned more than expected and really loved the work and still working there even after completion of the intership contract.

My whole team at the internship is very supportive. Working in small tech team allows you to get involve more into the team and work on individual projects which helps you to build your skills.

This journey was impossible without Internnz and my well wishes to all staff who are really doing great efforts in helping students.

I would recommend this country to anyone

I would recommend this country to anyone, it's been the greatest time I've ever had. I've met some great people at work and outside, I've learned a lot regarding advertising and have been really passionate about the projects I was given the opportunity to work on.
I've found that people think and behave differently than back in Europe. People are more chilled, the work ethic is different, more relaxed in general, and the team spirit seems to be stronger here.
New Zealand is truly a great country and deserves to be visited !

Accommodating

This internship in the television field was quite accommodating, and it was definitely a huge learning experience for me. The difference between Europe and New Zealand was much bigger than I expected.
