Indescribable!!

My study abroad experience was AMAZING! I would recommend it to anyone who wants something different out of their college experience, wants an adventure, or just wants a change of scenery. Living with a host family in Fiji was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Seeing the wonders of Australia, like the Great Barrier Reef and the Sydney Opera House was indescribable.
AIFS helped to make day-to-day life easy for its students. Weekly meal and transportation allowances and several free trips made AIFS stand out from the other providers.
Overall, Sydney was great! Everyone should get to Australia if they have the chance, and for me, AIFS was the reason I was able to have that chance.

Unforgettable!

This program was wonderful to work with. They were quick to answer any questions I had pre-departure. WE also had an amazing contact person while in country who knew us all by name and was available readily if we had questions. The university is huge and allows for whatever academic plan you might have be it rigorous or lax. The housing you will stay in is great and you will be surrounded by your program as well as other international sutdents and Australian students as well. Transportation into the city is so easy as well as travelling around the country itself. The program provides many in country outings included in the price and you should take every opportunity they provide, they are well worth it. You are going to make lifetime friends and lifetime memories. I would suggest study abroad to anyone and I would 100% suggest this program specifically.

AIFS Down Under

I studied abroad multiple times and the AIFS program I participated in was by far the most well-run. The company did a great job with communication for flights, choosing courses, housing and trips throughout the semester. Their staff actually had an office on campus so you always knew where to find them, which is rare compared with other programs. Overall, I thought they struck a nice balance between involvement and also allowing space to explore the country on your own. I have discussed with many other students who studied abroad and I know the services AIFS offered made my situation much less stressful than possible alternatives. They also had a few cool features, such as saving some of your money and issuing it out on a monthly basis via a credit card program.

Sydney Adventures

Getting the chance to experience life in Fiji and Australia is unforgettable. Meeting new people from different races and cultures gives me a whole new meaning of diversity, coming from an Historically Black college and University where the majority of the school population was black.

Getting used to the change in traffic direction, to experiencing church life, to even bein able to drink at the age of 18 was just a few things I experienced and wouldn't change for anything.

I would highly recommend this trip to anyone; that's how great of a time it was for me.

The most amazing trip ever!!!!

This was a once in a lifetime experience! I met so many new people from all over the world! The activites that Macquarie University puts on such as "Conception Day" are so much fun and it's important to get yourself involved to get the most from the trip! The school was very close to the housing so walking wasn't bad. Be ready to step outside your comfort zone in the housing department because you will be placed in a group where you aren't necessarily going to fit with them, but that's part of the experience! Also, you are so close to New Zealand so be sure to take a trip to meet some Kiwis! I would move there in a heartbeat!

The homestay experience in Fiji was wonderful! The family really makes you a part of their own and creates such a bond that you will cherish forever! Fijian people are beautiful inside and out and it's important to keep an open mind. This experience will change your perspective on life! Beachcomber Island was byfar the most gorgeous place in Fiji!

Take my word, this trip will change your life!!!!!! It was plenty of fun and it will create a sense of "No Worries" for all your problems!
