Believe the hype.

Korvia really does pull out all the stops. Right from your arrival, their friendly representatives will meet you at the airport and help you get transported to your new home and job. From that point on, communication is always easy and swift, and they're more than happy to help with any issues or questions you may have while living and working in Korea. I've dealt with many recruiters, but at this stage of the game I recommend only one.

Invested staff

I'm very happy that I went with Korvia as my recruiting agency.
From when I first started this process, everything was so overwhelming. I did a lot of my own research, but I still had questions. Lots of them. My recruiter was great, she always got back to me quickly no matter the scope of my questions. She kept me up to date and let me know whenever there was a new development with my application. Even after arriving, they provided support via transportation from the airport and a welcome package. I can't speak for other recruiting agencies, but I can't imagine getting the same experience I got at Korvia elsewhere.

Wonderful experience!

After working with a different recruiter for nearly 6 months and getting only a few emails, I switched to Korvia. The difference was incredible. In the three months before I left the US, I spoke to Korvia almost daily as they worked with me through application and departure! I really felt like the ladies at Korvia wanted to help me get the best job possible based on my preferences. I was offered jobs through both recruiters, but I chose Korvia because I did not feel pressured into taking the position. It suited my needs perfectly and I couldn't be happier!

What would you improve about this program?
Sometimes the time constraints were very stressful and expensive, especially when you live in a rural area with few options for some services. Having to ship documents practically overnight from the US to Korea was insanely expensive and required some travel due to my location.

One of the Few Reliable Recruiting Companies

Korvia Consulting is one of the few reliable recruiters in Korea. Many recruiters scam you into the worst jobs possible and leave you to rot after they get their money. Therefore I was very hesitant when my friends told me to go through Korvia Consulting. I cringed, procrastinated and eventually gave in. The whole experience with them was wonderful. They walk you through the process, look for jobs with your specifications, and most importantly, they check in with you after you secure your job. They even provide webinars and lectures on what to do during your first month in Korea. In the end, the thing that really struck a chord with me was the fact they treat you like a human. That's more than what the majority of recruiters can say in Korea.

Korvia is the right recruiter to use.

Before I decided to go with Korvia I had researched other options. After researching I found most of the people who used Korvia were extremely happy they did. Fast forward to now and I can say I am also extremely happy I did. Daisy was assigned to me and from day one she was always there to answer questions I had and to help me prep for the interview. Some of you might think, "Well...yes..thats her job", but I never felt like I was put on a backburner. Even though I know she had plenty of other applicants to deal with I always felt like my future as an EPIK teacher was important to her and she would do whatever she could to help and spend whatever amount of time needed. If you want to come to South Korea to teach English I strongly advise using Korvia.

Korvia Worked For Me

I went into the journey becoming an English teacher in Korea with only the recommendation of using Korvia and a couple of basic web searches. What could have been an arduous process ended up being a relatively painless and good experience thanks to the work done by Korvia and its staff.

There were constant reminders, webinars, information packets, and chances to ask questions of the different recruiters at all times. This meant that we were helped along every step of the way which made my application and hiring substantially easier. I would not be where I am without Korvia.

Thanks!

What would you improve about this program?
I would maybe add a FAQ section to have a place where people can readily find answers.

KorVia: The Best Recruitment Agency for EFL in South Korea

I choose KorVia at first simply because of the professionalism, organization and clarity of the information offered on their website. They proved to be very helpful in making me feel secure with moving forward with my decision to become an English teacher in Korea.

The job hunt was difficult and I wasn't getting any offers for months, but I was encouraged to keep my head up, not only by my recruiter Sarah, but other members of the team. (Thank you Ciena, Ashley, and Daisy!) They were extremely thorough in answering my questions and making sure I understood the entire hiring process.

It's only been 2 months, but I love my job. I teach at an amazing reputable hagwon. My director and co-workers have help me in numerous ways in getting adjust to life in Hwasun-gun, Jeollanam-do. (The area is more country, with city amenities and a 15 minute bus ride away from Gwangju, a metropolitan area)

KorVia also maintains contact with teachers after their placement, and arranges parties throughout the year. If I decide to change pace a find new work, I plan to use KorVia once again.

What would you improve about this program?
During the job hunting process, job descriptions would be posted onto the KorVia Gepik facebook page. If interested, I would inform my recruiter, but would be told the employers were looking for in-country or more experienced applicants even when its not mentioned in the initial post. I found myself having to ignore a majority of job postings on Facebook and simply waiting for a recruiter to email me with an ideal position. So I think FB job posting should include that information.

Very well-organised and helpful

This was my second time finding a job in Korea and so I've had to try plenty of different recruiters.
Even before they found me a good job, Korvia stood out from other recruiters. They actually have a system in place rather than just having a skype chat with nothing much to follow that up. They seem much more professional and much better organised than any of the other recruiters I had contact with.
They seem like a really friendly and genuine group of people and for anyone looking for a teaching job in Korea, I would absolutely recommend Korvia.
