I have enrolled for 120-hour TEFL/TESOL course and I really loved it. I think I got all the knowledge ready to use for my classroom and online teaching experience. For me enrolling in the 120-hour TEFL/TESOL course at World TESOL Academy was an excellent decision. The course content was comprehensive and practical, covering essential teaching strategies for both classroom and online settings. I feel fully equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to excel in teaching English. The support from instructors was exceptional, and the online platform was user-friendly. Highly recommended for anyone pursuing a career in TEFL/TESOL.

I really enjoyed this course! It was much quicker than I expected and the content was very useful. As a fluent English speaker from the United States, it was nice to learn about sentence structure, word stresses, and types of verbs, as these are thing I use while speaking everyday but did not understand the break down of the sentences.
I am currently in Vietnam volunteering to teach English, and can already see how I can apply some of the lesson plan techniques to my class. When I go back to America, I would also like to be able to teach online and I believe this course set me up very well in order to do that :)
I really loved the course and will be recommending it to friends!

What was the most nerve-racking moment and how did you overcome it?

My most nerve racking part of the course was reading through modules 2 & 3, and realizing I didn’t know ANY of the information. I thought most everything would be a refresher. So, I took very thorough notes and read each page 2 times through to fully understand.

What was the most nerve-racking moment and how did you overcome it?

The most nerve-wracking moment in my TESOL course was the final exam. To overcome the anxiety, I dedicated ample time to review all course materials meticulously. I simulated exam conditions with timed practice tests, which boosted my confidence and familiarized me with the exam format. During the exam, I stayed focused by taking deep breaths and maintaining a positive mindset, reminding myself of my preparation and dedication throughout the course. This approach helped me navigate through the nerves and perform to the best of my abilities on exam day.

The best thing about World TESOL Academy is the affordable and cost-effective program which did not at all fall short of its high standard and comprehensive courses. The course materials which included a lot of drills, videos, tips and short assessments at the end of each module are practical and extremely useful. What worked best for me is that I could take the whole course online, at the comfort of my home, at my own time and pace.

The support group is amazing as well! The friendly and accommodating teachers responded to my queries and addressed my concerns immediately, considering the time difference between my country and The UK. More importantly, their responses were helpful, relevant, and detailed. Thank you World TESOL Academy!

If you did this all over again, what's one thing you would change?

If I did this all over again, one thing I would change is my time table. Having gone through all the modules, assessments, and final exam, I realized in the end that it could've taken only a week to complete the course without procrastination. Had I devoted a few hours each day for this, I could have gotten my TESOL certificate a lot earlier.

The drills, quizzes and videos were functional and task-based.
The staff who accommodated my queries and concerns was friendly and supportive.

Cons

I took my time thinking it was difficult.
The final assessment was not under time constraint.
Four months to complete the course is too long, hence my procrastination.

The experience of taking this course was excellent and very instructive. Future students should understand the course's purpose clearly: to build a solid foundation for teaching. The curriculum provides essential tools and techniques, covering pedagogy, curriculum development, classroom management, and assessment strategies, for both in-person and online classes. With both theoretical knowledge and practical application, this course prepares educators to succeed and make a positive impact in classroom environments.

Be aware of your goals. You need to understand that it will give you a foundation for your progression as a teacher.

Due to its 120 hours lenght, it is also not a deep dive in the experience of being a teacher
It has a limited amount of real scenario videos

Hearing about this course, i was afraid it won't meet up with my expectations, but going through this program, made me feel like i was already professional and even before finishing the course i could already manage to have some classes with my students enjoying them.
Each lesson was always detailly explained, interesting easy to understand at every level
in my opinion i do not think any single aspect of teaching ESL was left out , every aspect was detailly explained.
I exalt you who has the desire to teach ESL to take this course , i bet you you won't regret it, as i don't regret it

What was your funniest moment?

My funniest moment throughout this course was when i was one day through the course and i the courses just stop displaying, i then remembered 4 months had already gone by, due to my busy schedule i could not finish on time, so i advice those interested in this course to opt for a lifetime access to the course

The materials I received were precisely what I needed, relevant to my interests and the accreditation is highly valuable. The recognition and reputation of the academy will add significant weight to my ESL teaching credentials, making me more attractive to potential employers. Moreover, the study materials were clear, concise, and easy to comprehend, even without direct tutor support. The depth and quality of the materials enabled me to gain a thorough understanding of the fundamental English language skills.
I hope to be able to use the acquired skills to get better teaching opportunities even though I am not a native English speaker which is a requirement by many recruitors.

Awesomeness ist not enough to describe the overall experience I had. It was fantastic to review all main topics for a full grammar comprenhension and learning how toengage with students and create a class road map was fantastic.I found TESOL through a friends, he tolme if I wanted to start a new professional path as an ESL teacher, as I have experience in other fields I wanted to take the challenge and see how far could I go as an english teacher. So far I had not had any experience as an English teacher but I hope this certificate help me.

Going into your experience abroad, what was your biggest fear, and how did you overcome it? How did your views on the issue change?

Going into my experience teaching English as a foreign language overseas, my biggest fear was not being able to effectively connect with and engage my students due to language barriers and cultural differences. I worried that my limited experience in new cultural settings might make it challenging to communicate and build rapport.

I overcame this fear by investing time in learning about the local culture and customs, actively seeking feedback from students and colleagues, and adapting my teaching methods to better suit their needs. As I gained more experience and confidence, I realized that being flexible and open to learning from my students greatly enhanced my teaching effectiveness. My views on the issue evolved as I understood that building relationships and understanding local contexts are key to successful teaching abroad.
