I am a teacher teaching postgraduate management courses for the last 18 years. I wanted to take a break from a mundane stressful job to something light yet challenging. I found this unique opportunity while browsing the internet. The contents are very informative but presented in a simple way that all non-native English learners can easily understand. The quiz at the end of each module is comprehensive. Learning at your own place and pace along with international certification is the USP of this program. Super practical teaching tips are awesome.

The course was very insightful not only as it relates the subject (English), but also provided in depth knowledge of teaching strategies and techniques that all teachers should know. Despite being a teacher for several years, the course has provided a greater level of appreciation for the profession. The fact that there was no need to request help at any point in the course highlighted how easy it was to follow the instructions and navigate the course. The concept were explained with simple language which was much appreciated and aid understanding of lessons.

Key content was reinforced through repetition in different context across modules.

Cons

More video presentations could have been included for persons who lean to auditory and visual learning.
There were some modules that could have had better summaries, especially the last four sections.
There should have been some more structured scenario based questions in the exams to test application of concepts.

High-quality course, with lots of valuable materials, and technics shared; Constant support by virtual assistant in case of confusion, by the end of the course you will be provided with an option for a hard copy of the certificate being delivered to you, not only digital, which is super convenient, especially if you are planning to teach abroad. No deadlines, and no rush, you can study at your own pace. After every module, you will have to pass the test, and the grand exam by the end of the course, which makes the course very efficient.

As a biology teacher and one who loves traveling, learning, meeting new people and is also interested in teaching English to speakers of other languages. I learned a lot in the course of this program, and I cannot wait to implement all that I have learnt so far. The fact that the Instructional contents are well detailed is amazing, the learning platform is outstanding and easily accessible for beginners who are not conversant with online learning. I will gladly recommend World TESOL Academy to anyone who is interested in learning and teaching English to speakers of other languages online and overseas. Going into your experience abroad, what was your biggest fear, and how did you overcome it? How did your views on the issue change?

Going into my experience teaching English as a foreign language overseas, my biggest fear was not being able to effectively connect with and engage my students due to language barriers and cultural differences. I worried that my limited experience in new cultural settings might make it challenging to communicate and build rapport.

I overcame this fear by investing time in learning about the local culture and customs, actively seeking feedback from students and colleagues, and adapting my teaching methods to better suit their needs. As I gained more experience and confidence, I realized that being flexible and open to learning from my students greatly enhanced my teaching effectiveness. My views on the issue evolved as I understood that building relationships and understanding local contexts are key to successful teaching abroad.

Answer: One memorable experience from teaching English abroad was organizing a cultural exchange event where my students and I shared stories and traditions from our respective cultures.
