About Program
In our biological monitoring program, volunteers have the chance to monitor our fauna populations over time. This helps us develop accurate species lists and population density reports which will be used to make future conservation decisions. Activities of this program may include: Walk along transects during two hours in the morning and in the evening making annotations of all bird/mammal/herp sightings, record GIS coordinates of species reported, set up and check camera traps for mammal activity, monitor mammal and parrot claylick usage, enter the data in our database and create distribution maps of specific species that are threatened of extinction.
You will be provided with training on the monitoring methods used as well as the identification of species in the field.
