About Program

We have placed teachers in Korea since 2007 with zero complaints because we at T.E.I.K. (Teach English in Korea) are a husband-and-wife team who have taught, lived, and worked in Korea as ESL teachers and government officials. We pride ourselves on being a boutique recruitment agency that is always focused on our teachers getting the best job opportunity that fits the teacher's qualifications, experience, and preferences.

We are a very laid-back, low-pressure, expat-owned, and run agency. We also live by the motto, “No B.S., No Drama.” If you are not 100% certain that you feel that you would be a great candidate to teach English in Korea, then don't waste both of our time. We only want to work with caring and honest individuals who have an adventurous spirit, love to travel, and meet new people. We will assist with gathering visa documents, the visa process, placement, arrival to Korea, and continued support during your full year in Korea.

Seoul is so fun to work/live in and quite the adventure!

Hey Brad,

Things are pretty good here and I think I've finally settled in. From what I understand, after talking to many teachers in the area, I realized that you placed me in a really good school. The teachers here are all cool and supportive. The kids...they're a handful at times but are pretty enjoyable overall. I've included a picture of me and my class on a field trip for your website. I'm going to Cambodia at the end of July after my contract finishes. When are you coming to back to Korea from your vacation? I'd like to grab a beer with you when you get back.

Scott Henderson,
Seoul, Korea

Pros
  • Always something going on
  • Bustling
  • Vibrant
Cons
  • Seoul is expensive and so crowded

Quick and Responsive

I sent Brad an email in response to a posting for a job in Korea and he responded right away. We scheduled a call right away and he focused on my needs and priorities for a position. During that first call he connected me right away to a hagwon owner and we conducted the interview immediately. Throughout the whole process of arriving to Korea he was always quick to reply and answer emails. He connected to unique academy where I've been challenged and have already learned so much. I recommend using this program!

Pros
  • Replied Quickly to emails
  • Good network of schools
  • Long time experience placing teachers
Cons
  • Can feel a little fast paced
  • Options available depending on time of year
  • Experience can vary

Two months in and couldn’t be happier

I couldn’t be happier with how my experience with teaching English in Korea has been. I’ve received so much support and assistance with setting up and settling into my new life. South Korea is beautiful and full of so many friendly people, and amazing experiences.

I love the location I have been placed in, my campus is so friendly and the children are so bright and full of desire to learn. I honestly cannot recommend the experience and opportunity enough!

Bradley has been so helpful and supportive, it was what made this such an easy decision!

Pros
  • Amazing opportunity
  • Culture is diverse and amazing to experience
  • Cost of living is very affordable
Cons
  • The waiting period for your ARC can be inconvenient

South Korea Expat Life

It's really important to have support when making such a drastic shift in your life, and Bradley helped so much in the process. He responded promptly to questions that arose and helped guide me through the interview process. It's essential to state what it is you're looking for, and if you don't know, Bradley can help you sort through options. The paperwork and visa process can feel overwhelming, but you'll have the guidance and support you need. Bradley is really available to help all the way until the end!

Pros
  • Immersion into a brand new culture while having a steady job and income
  • Travel and exploration
  • Incredible food! The cafe culture is fabulous:)
Cons
  • Can be lonely at times and frustrating
  • Completely new language and culture
  • I miss my cat, BUT you can bring your cat or dog, I just opted not to.

Teaching EIK

This is going to be my 2nd year living in South Korea as an ESL instructor and it's been pretty good so far. Coming from a professional background in Data to teaching English to young children has been an interesting experience. I've never worked with children, but they grow on you. ^^

With the help from TEIK, the transition was pretty smooth and helpful. Brad has been pretty dope in helping me feel secure with the school selections and was always there to give advice about job related issues as well as non job related issues.

Pros
  • Free housing
  • Livable salary
  • Great advice and assistance
Cons
  • Depending on where you're placed, small accommodation
  • Air quality

TEIK

Bradley Brennan was great to work with. His availability for communication was very convenient even with the hours of time zones between us. He was very quick to find quality pay and benefits upon a moment’s notice! His patience and sincerity was greatly appreciated especially during the stressful process of moving to an entirely new country. I had the opportunity to interview for over a dozen jobs in and around the highly competitive Seoul foreign teaching market due to Brad’s efforts. I’m to grateful to have worked with Brad and TEIK!

Pros
  • Availability
  • Promptness
  • Rapport

Incheon, SK

I started in Spring 2023 at a well known chain hagwon in Incheon. While initially the process was stressful, Bradley and Yumi were helpful and answered all of my questions and made the recruitment process very smooth. I brought my cat with me to Korea and they were very supportive. I've been here for almost 2 months now and it's been easy to become friends with my co teachers and settle in. This is my second time staying in Korea and I have been enjoying it just as much as the first time. Thank you!

Pros
  • Housing allows pets
  • Good food
  • Nice co-teachers
Cons
  • Curriculum learning curve was steep

Amazing Support

Brennan and Yumi are super nice and very supportive. They are with you every step of the way. If you are confused about something, Brennan is super patient with you. It's a long and confusing process to get to Korea but he is do patient and knowledgeable. Definitely glad I had his help, because he made the transition easier! It's always super stressful to move abroad to another country but having the support means a lot. Also you can make some friends that are going to the same places with you so that's always super helpful too.

Pros
  • Supportive
  • Knowledge
  • Fun
