About Program

We have placed teachers in Korea since 2007 with zero complaints because we at T.E.I.K. (Teach English in Korea) are a husband-and-wife team who have taught, lived, and worked in Korea as ESL teachers and government officials. We pride ourselves on being a boutique recruitment agency that is always focused on our teachers getting the best job opportunity that fits the teacher's qualifications, experience, and preferences.

We are a very laid-back, low-pressure, expat-owned, and run agency. We also live by the motto, “No B.S., No Drama.” If you are not 100% certain that you feel that you would be a great candidate to teach English in Korea, then don't waste both of our time. We only want to work with caring and honest individuals who have an adventurous spirit, love to travel, and meet new people. We will assist with gathering visa documents, the visa process, placement, arrival to Korea, and continued support during your full year in Korea.

Awesome experience

Definitely one of the hardest things I’ve ever done in my life. I probably wouldn’t have made it without the help of my coworkers. There are so many rewarding things about teaching in Korea: it placed me in a position of responsible leadership, it has forced me to learn to communicate better, it has helped me learn another culture, and made me relate to and rely on people who come from many different walks of life. I worked as an industrial mechanic in different factories previously. I always wanted to teach, so before I got too deep into mechanical work, I wanted to try teaching. Korea has proved to be a great opportunity and a good investment for my own personal growth by way of a serious challenge. Doing this is a challenging thing that most people with my background don’t do. It makes me stand out as a professional as someone who is in afraid to try things, and also has rounded me out as a person by exposing me to some different social and professional environments.

Pros
  • Travel & earn
  • Personal growth
  • Nice apartment
Cons
  • Long work hours
  • Can be a stressful job

Korea is my new Home

I've been teaching in South Korea since 2018 and after 4 years and 6 months at the same Hagwon, I was in desperate need for a change of scenery but still nervous!

Brad was heaven sent! He made everything so easy. A couple emails later, I had 2 amazing interviews and contracts to look over. Brad gave amazing advice and led me to moving to Namyangju.
And the rest has been a change worth making.

I'm at an academy where I feel appreciated and the kiddies make everyday special!
This is my first time teaching kindergarten. And everyday I receive so much love, tiny hugs and reminders that kiddies love putting everything in their mouths! 😅

I'm happy I used TEIK to help me change my life and the lives of all my new students!

Pros
  • Quick Assistance and Advice
  • Pictures of the accommodation made my choice easy
Cons
  • Being away from home is hard but the safety in Korea makes it worth it
  • Learning Korean has not been easy so Google translate becomes your bestie!

An Incredible Experience in South Korea

I have loved South Korea from the moment I landed here. I couldn’t have done all the documents and visa process without Brad and my school lead. There is so much paperwork but they made it seem easy! And made sure my journey to Korea was as smooth as possible. The interview process was smooth, and when landing here I felt very supported! I live in a beautiful area and it is one of the best things I’ve done! The pay is great, the people are amazing and I’d recommend this to anyone !!! Say yes to this opportunity, it’s worth it I promise :)

Pros
  • Amazing Nature
  • Free Housing
  • Travel and Earn at the same time
Cons
  • So much paperwork (on Koreas end)
  • Thrown in the deep end with work
  • No one speaks English here except at the school

Busan is Beautiful!

Bradley placed me in Korea in August 2022. I am working for a very large private school in Busan teaching elementary school grades one through six, but next semester they will switch me to Kindy+ some elementary classes for more of a 9-6 PM shift instead of the early afternoon to night. It has been a wonderful experience thus far and the most satisfying part of teaching is observing a student use the knowledge they have learned to communicate. Never a class goes by without someone laughing. In my view, having the opportunity to be both a teacher and a student comes with being a teacher. The variety of things I discover every day astounds me.

Working in Korea is fantastic. You can send money in addition to being able to live within your means. Eight months have passed since I moved to Busan, and I adore my job. How many people who are 22 years old can say that? Are days sometimes tough? Of course, but after every challenge in the classroom, I feel I’m becoming a better teacher and improving. I decided I wanted to stay in Korea for another year and Korea feels like the right place for me for at least another year. I've decided to enroll in an online TEFL program to learn more about what I do as a result of that choice. I must admit that I'm thrilled to be here. I have a lot to do, places to go, nice friends, and few worries.
I call that living the good life.

An incredibly rewarding experience.

Teaching in Korea has been an incredibly rewarding experience, and I highly recommend it to anyone considering a career in education or to peeps who want to go out to see the world and get paid for it. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with open arms by the local community and given every opportunity to succeed by my school.

One of the most impressive things about teaching in Korea to me is the level of support that I received from my school management and my head teacher. I was provided with comprehensive training and ongoing guidance throughout my time in the classroom. This made me feel confident in my abilities and I was able to focus on delivering the best possible education to my students… of course, there was a steep learning curve, but after 3-4 months it became a cakewalk.

Overall, I can't recommend teaching in Korea highly enough. It's an amazing opportunity that allowed me to grow both personally and professionally while making a positive impact on the lives of others. If you're looking for a new adventure and a chance to experience one of the most fascinating cultures in the world, teaching in Korea is definitely worth considering.

I’m looking forward to the TEIK event next weekend! See you there Bradley!

Things are going great here, and I’m loving it!!!!

Hey Brad,
I’m not sure you remember me, but I’m one of the people you were able to help get a job in Osan. Well, I was taped for a show that is supposed to air on Arirang TV next Monday at 9 PM here. It is called Travel Blog or something like that. Feel free to use it for your website if you like (that is if they actually air it))…😊 Things are going great here, and I’m loving it!!!! Thanks a lot for everything and thanks again for making it so easy for me by taking care of my visa and putting me in such a great school!

I'm looking forward to the TEIK Social/Networking Event....:)

Hey guy, I thought I'd send you a quick note letting you know everything is going great for me. That first day was quite the whirlwind, but things after the first week have gotten much better now that I know more about what to do and expect. I absolutely love the kids. For the most part! Yeah the bigger classes and the older ones can be a little bit of a challenge to keep their attention, but still, I couldn't have imagined myself having a better time overall. They've been getting my apartment room ready for me this week, and tomorrow I move out of the hotel and into my apartment, so I'm looking forward to that. Today was a really great end of the week, too, as the kids turned in all their stamps (for excellent work, etc.) for school "money," where they could purchase supplies like pencils, pens, erasers, fun play mats, etc. I'm not sure if they were excited more for the chance to get free stuff or if this took the place of their normal classes...! The other teachers here are also just a joy to work with...Korean and English speaking. There's another guy from the states who's just a riot and another lady who is from New Zealand who is just as nice as anyone can be. All the Korean teachers are just fabulous too. Well, anyway, I don't mean to keep rambling, but I'm just so psyched to be here, So thanks again for making it all happen.
