Combined Level 5 TEFL Course in South Africa

I have learnt so much doing this course. I started at the beginning of the year and unfortunately had a few distractions so it took me a bit longer to complete it, however it was so worth it. I know feel so confident going into a new job teaching English overseas and I feel that I can always rely on the TEFL Academy to guide me in future endeavours. I was able to step out of my comfort zone and learn new ways of teaching and surprise myself by being creative. I would recommend this course for everyone as I think it is a great certificate to have if you ever want to try something new or travel. I can’t wait to use what I have learnt in my career going forward.

This course was very well put together, very well thought out and organised. This level 5 course was put in great detail. For someone with no teaching degree or teaching experience, this course brought out teaching capabilities I did not think I had. With the 20 hour, face to face part of this course, it really helped me to recognise how teaching could come so naturally to me. The materials are there to constantly go over when needed. When help is needed, they are easy and fast to reach. Quality.

I recently completed the TTA TEFL combined level 5 course and I had an amazing experience! The course is very well put together and I defenitely learned a lot! I truly believe that I have also improved myself as a person throughout this course. I thoroughly enjoyed all the units since they were very well explained and the website is well built, and easily guided me through my learning. I highly recommend this course to anyone who wants to improve themselves or open up opportunities for themselves.

It was not a difficult program and it gives you all the tools you will need to learn how to teach a language to someone and it also give you a buff on your vocabulary and English usage. You do need to study on your own so it entails you to have a strong will to go through the course. When you do your assignments be sure to read through the instructions with careful understanding and do not be afraid to contact if you need any help because there are people who will assist you when you need it. In all it was a good learning experience.

It took me a few extensions, but I eventually completed my TEFL course. I enjoyed the depth in which the different units were written for the student. You could read the unit parts as many times until you have fully understood. The tests at the end of every unit are insightful as this is where you get to test your knowledge. The lesson plan examples were also amazing; easy to understand and endless ideas on how you can plan your future lessons. the technical, admin and tutor support is superb, you can always follow up with a phonecall and a friendly voice is always there to solve an issues you may have. Cannot fault this course.

The TEFL Academy exceeded my expectations with regards to the TEFL Level 5 Course. I had heard of TEFL before, but hadn't ever seriously considered signing up to complete the certification. While doing my research (I wasn't sure which TEFL company to go through - there are SO many out there), I emailed The TEFL Academy asking some questions, and I was pleasantly suprised to receive a call from a lady in Europe (I live in South Africa) who was more than willing to answer my questions. The customer service really impressed me, and I am so glad I decided to do my certification through The TEFL Academy. The course was well presented, the website was easy to navigate and I found the assignments to be the perfect level of challenging. I haven't started looking for a job yet (I am also working full-time) but The TEFL Academy does have great resources and support for writing your CV and cover letter, and reputable companies looking to hire TEFL teachers. I took about six months to complete the course, but if I worked consistently on it (and didn't work full-time), I think finishing it in 1 - 2 months would be very manageable. I think that would be enough time to go through the course thoroughly and also produce assignments of a high quality. I look forward to the opportunities The TEFL Academy has given me with a certificate of a high standard!

Because of the sheer number of Tefl courses out there, it is difficult to know what to choose. If you need to just quickly get a piece of paper saying you are “certified”, you can easily do this. If you want to actually learn how to manage and teach a class of EFL students, The TEFL Academy is the way to go. The combined level 5 course provides you with everything you need to start a career in EFL teaching and more. They take you step-by-step through everything and the online platform is well designed and super user friendly (sometimes using a phone or tablet can be frustrating so opt for a laptop). The course is also not super easy which I liked. I feel as though I was challenged and pushed to think like an EFL teacher would. The in-person part of the course was also just such a great addition, I would definitely not pass on this. The only downside I saw is the fluctuating prices of the courses. Depending on when you decide to start the course you could either save a lot or spend a lot more than you’d like. This can be frustrating when you see the price drop to 30% lower than what you paid for it a week before. But that is just life I guess and you really do get what you pay for. This isn’t just a certification, it’s a chest filled with incredible tools, resources and lessons.

The TEFL Academy course level 5 was very nice and challenging for me. I learnt a lot about teaching English as a foreign language. The different techniques and approaches will help me in the future when I start the journey of teaching Engish online to people all over the world and broadening the English community. I am looking forward to it and thank you to The TEFL Academy for giving me the key to do it. I would recommend TTA level 5 Diploma TEFL to anyone who would like to make a difference in the lives of people.
