About Program

We have placed teachers in Korea since 2007 with zero complaints because we at T.E.I.K. (Teach English in Korea) are a husband-and-wife team who have taught, lived, and worked in Korea as ESL teachers and government officials. We pride ourselves on being a boutique recruitment agency that is always focused on our teachers getting the best job opportunity that fits the teacher's qualifications, experience, and preferences.

We are a very laid-back, low-pressure, expat-owned, and run agency. We also live by the motto, “No B.S., No Drama.” If you are not 100% certain that you feel that you would be a great candidate to teach English in Korea, then don't waste both of our time. We only want to work with caring and honest individuals who have an adventurous spirit, love to travel, and meet new people. We will assist with gathering visa documents, the visa process, placement, arrival to Korea, and continued support during your full year in Korea.

Amazing Experience!

I arrived in Korea going on three months ago, and started working with Poly schools. The experience so far has been great! Apartment paid for, walking distance from school, and smart students. I spend the weekend exploring the local Korean scene, as there's many restaurants, arcades and historical sites to see. The people here are very kind and helpful, they will try to use as much English as they can while interacting with you. The Hangul script is also relatively easy to learn, and you can usually get around knowing only a little. English signs are widely posted; it would not be hard to get around. I recommend this to anyone who's curious, it's been a life-changing experience.

Pros
  • Rent paid for by school
  • Rich culture and kind people
  • Incredibly helpful support system
Cons
  • Long hours
  • High expectations
  • Large workload

Teaching English in Korea

I began teaching English at the POLY Dalseo campus in August 2023. I teach at a hagwon. I have been teaching for about 3 months. The first thing I want to say is that the kids are what make my world spin. I love the pay and living conditions, my co-workers are nice, and the free weekends are great; however, nothing compares to the joy and experience of spending copious amounts of time with my students. They teach me so much and have helped me grow immensely as an individual. I love the culture here in Korea. Most people are friendly and helpful. This has been a wonderful experience for me. I am looking forward to the months ahead!

Pros
  • Salary (Rent is paid for)
  • Professional Experience
  • Relationships/Friendships
Cons
  • Heavy Workload
  • Demanding Job
  • Short Weekends

TEIK really is all they say!

I had an amazing experience using TEIK. They answer all questions quickly and went around my schedule for meetings and such. They provided clear and detailed lists of all visa documents that was also easy to understand.Bradley even followed up with the schools for me after my interviews. They stayed in contact with me all the way untill i landed in korea. The school I came to work with from them really is the perfect school for me.

I seriously recommend using this company if you want to teach in korea

Review of TEIK experience

Bradley and Yumi were extremely helpful and communicative. They connected me with a good school that provides a high pay. I have already recommended them to others and have been happy with their service. Yumi was willing to get back to me even during late hours when she had previously missed my emails. Bradley's emails (albeit bright on the eyes) are informative and helpful in getting a handle on the types of opportunities available. The TEIK meetups have been a great way to meet other like-minded individuals.

TEIK

TEIK was very helpful in getting me where I am! I appreciate the help of TEIK’s Director and my School’s Director. I love my job and I love living in South Korea. My coworkers are kind and supportive. They have helped me settle into life in my city. The housing is convenient and satisfactory. I have only a short walk to work every day. Anything I need is within waking distance. The city I live in is clean and the people are kind. My original travel to Korea was well facilitated by both TEIk’s Director and my School’s Director. I greatly appreciate their support and help!

TEIK

I found a great school, and I was helped every step of the way! I was able to choose a position I was well suited to, and the process went relatively quickly until right before I left there was a delay. It was also a bit expensive with all of the steps involved to getting a visa, etc. which I was not aware of before I started. However, everyone was very helpful and friendly, even after normal working hours, and the whole process went relatively smoothly because of them. Everything worked out well, so I am happy with it.

Pros
  • Helpful
  • Variety
  • Kind
Cons
  • Expensive
  • Quick but a bit slow later

Impressed and Grateful!

I was highly impressed with the professionalism and thoroughness that TEIK (Bradley) provided to me during the hiring process. My recruiters, Bradley and Yumi, were responsive and friendly in all my communications with them. Even receiving loads of help from them, I still found the process a bit confusing, but they gave me detailed blog posts for the visa process and how to get my documents apostille notarized in just a few days. I'm unsure how I would have navigated the visa process and gotten my docs in order. I am thankful for his help and patience in answering my many questions!

I highly recommend TEIK recruitment services to anyone looking to teach in Korea. They genuinely believe in their no BS and no drama policy. I've been in Korea for several months and love my school, my students, and the area I live in. The housing photos they gave me helped me to picture myself here and living/working in Korea. Thank you!!
