What an adventure

My experience with Intern London has been very fun and beneficial both personally and professionally. A huge plus of the program was living with other interns in a dorm style setting at Pure Highbury. Also, I gained undeniable experience at RefME, an edtech company, who in 2014 was named Britain's best mobile startup by KPMG & UK Trade Investment. The internship helped me understand the world of digital marketing and business development. My tasks varied from conducting quantitative research to creating blog posts to building websites tailored to specific geo-markets. I enjoyed working at RefME because it was a practical, intellectual and comforting environment. I enjoyed working in London very much. There is a ton to do on the weekends, the public transit is well connected, and the culture is rich in diversity.

What would you improve about this program?
At Heathrow, the driver had no idea who I was or what program I was affiliated with. It took over an hour to find him. The housing at Pure Highbury was nice, but many things could be vastly improved. The water jugs never had cups, the pans, pots and plates are often taken from the kitchen and the events planned are often on weekdays, making work and play a conflict.

Best Two Months of My Life

My experience with the Intern Group was above and beyond expectations. The people I lived with, worked with and met through this program were the reason my time with Intern London was so incredible. I have made life long friends and memories that I will not forget. Having lived and worked in London I feel that I have advanced socially and professionally to face situations easier than most would have to adapt to. While the Intern Group does provide a support structure you as a participant have the opportunity to be free in how you want to experience London. Personally, I went to a few Intern London events and other times I traveled or went out with coworkers and flat mates. The thing to realize is that the experience is what you make it. If you put in effort to meet people and make friends you will be rewarded with opportunities you never imagined.

Also, if you do minimal research of things you want to do (ie. restaurants, music venues, shops) and actively try to explore new places you will find a familiar feel within London. Before coming I followed a few London lifestyle accounts on social media and listed several restaurants, pubs and music venues they mentioned. Once in London, I took colleagues who live there to these places and they were really impressed by the fact they were exploring new places with someone so new to the city. This really makes you feel fully involved with people and the city.

I could go on for days about what an incredible chance it was to go through the Intern London program, but I hope my positive review along with a spirit to be adventurous motivates anyone reading this to try Intern London.

Excellent Experience

I believe that one of the best decisions I've ever made was to have an internship abroad. It's the best thing you can do especially if you recently graduated from college. Not only do you gain work experience that will help you in the future, you are abroad! You are in a new city, experiencing new things, meeting people from around the world, form friendships that won't fade, eat food from all around the world and every day (even if it's a Monday) is an adventure.

What would you improve about this program?
I would have liked to live in an area were all the interns are as well. While I am satisfied with my housing, I wished I had my friends in the same area I was living. That was the impression I was on when I first applied to the program, to live in a dorm style housing.

Amazing Experience

During my internship I was given creative freedom and the ability to use my interior design skills. I was amazed I was given such responsibility from the very beginning. I was able to get a real idea of how things work in the real world from day to day, both positive and negative issues that came up. I was able to observe meetings with clients and other designers, which gave me knowledgable experience for my future in interiors.

What would you improve about this program?
Having transportation back to the airport be a part of the package.

A Great Move If You Plan on Grad School

Interning abroad really helps to boost your CV for grad school, even more so if you plan to go into the arts, as internships in those areas can often be hard to find. Intern Group makes it easy to find them though and they take all of the stress away from the process. I worked in a great film office and the letters of recommendation my bosses wrote for me have helped to get me into some of the best graduate film schools in the world. I looked at other programs beside Intern Group, but none of them covered as much as Intern Group does, like housing and support. This program is a very smart investment for your future.

Digital marketing internship

The internship was great and I gained a lot of very valuable experience that helped me to secure a job afterwards. The intern group team were very helpful and made the process of getting an internship easy. They also set of various events which allowed us to meet other interns & make new friends.

I highly recommend the intern group to anyone considering doing an internship abroad. It's a great way to gain experience, make new friends and explore a new city!

What would you improve about this program?
I feel everything was very rushed from the time I found out I got the internship to when I needed to start. It took awhile for me to get the visa & ended up having to pay extra fees to get it rushed to me. I only found out my visa was approved a week before I was set to leave.

Intern London

Wonderful customer service, an e-mail never went unanswered. The accommodations were lovely and within reasonable distance to anything/everything you need. Socials events were a fun time with ample opportunities to meet new interns. London is a city filled with loads of things to do and attractions to see. Definitely made life-long friendships and got a first-hand experience of what is it like to work in my future career field. Would recommend to any recent graduate craving a new adventure, international experience and a taste of the real world in a subject area that interests you.

Great internship experience

I interned at London in fashion for 3 months.

It was a wonderful experience!

Initially I felt nervous, arriving at a new country where I knew nobody. But InternLondon made sure that I felt at home!

The program is really well structured, and allows you to meet many new people. Regular catch-ups ensures that you're always surrounded by people going through the same things as you. Paid events in the programme allow you gain the full London experience!

The accommodation was great, particularly because I lived close to my new friends.

Definitely an experience that I will hold on to for the rest of my life.
