Korean Horizons - Excellent Recruiter

I am really glad that I selected Korean Horizons to assist with my EPIK application. Alistair was really helpful and thorough in his guidance, always showing that he's a very knowledgeable recruiter. Importantly, Alistair was really responsive to emails throughout the application process which I really appreciated. He answered many questions and I am grateful for that. Alistair is clearly very organised, which is important when organising the deadlines and documents involved in the application process. I am now teaching in Korea and really enjoying the chance to develop my teaching skills here. Thanks for your help, Alistair.

Korean Horizons review

I went through Korean Horizon for some extra support for the EPIK application process. I'm happy that I went through Korean Horizon because Alistair, makes sure to keep you on your A-game. He is straightforward and tells you what you need to hear to improve your application or anything throughout the process. He's always quick to respond when you email him a question. Once you make it to Korea he is still a very much a strong support system for you. I definitely recommend Korean Horizon if you want a recruiter who will help you every step of the way and make sure you settle into Korea during your first year.

I could not recommend Korean Horizons enough

I chose to apply to EPIK via Korean Horizons after seeing other recommendations online and I am incredibly happy I did. If you have never lived or taught abroad before, the process can be confusing but Alistair makes it all simple and straightforward. From the very moment you apply Alistair is on the ball to get you to where you need to be. His communication is excellent and he has always been there to guide his applicants - I have never had to wait longer than 24 hours for a response to any question or query. Working with Korean Horizons also gives you the added benefit of undertaking a mock interview to prepare you for your EPIK interview - this is not something you will find with many other agencies - but gives you an incredible advantage throughout the competitive process. By working with KH you can also expect in country support when you finally make it to Korea - Alistair has been with us all of the way and continues to offer his support. If you are looking for someone you can trust to get you to Korea via EPIK or other public school routes within the country, I would not look any further than KH. Thank you for all of your help, Alistair - I couldn't have done it without you :)

What is your advice to future travelers on this program?
If Alistair is asking you to do something or for something for the process, I would recommend that you do it/provide him with it as soon as possible. Alistair knows best and is working hard to secure you a place with EPIK - it is as simple as doing what he asks :)

Korean Horizons - EPIK Spring 2021

I applied for the EPIK program (English Program in Korea) through Korean Horizons and am now teaching in South Korea thanks to KH's support. Alistair was extremely helpful from start to finish, keeping me updated throughout the process, organising a pre-interview to prepare me for my interview, sharing key 'in the know' info along the way. It made a big difference, and made the whole process much easier and less stressful. I had a family emergency situation when I first applied and had to pause my application but Alistair was nothing but supportive which was hugely appreciated. I then was able to resume my application when things improved. If you are thinking of applying for EPIK or teaching in Korea, I would recommend going with Korean Horizons.

Korean Horizons is excellent

Alistair was a fantastic help and the rest of his team made sure to make everything as clear and streamlined as possible. Korean Horizons gets my full endorsement and I would recommend them to anyone who wants to make it as a teacher in Korea. Korean Horizons answered all my questions and guided me step-by-step through the process, they told me what to expect and prepared me for everything I needed. I felt supported throughout the entire process and I feel Alistair went above and beyond to ensure everything developed smoothly.

If you did this all over again, what's one thing you would change?
I recommend that people especially research what the best apps to use in Korea are. The apps are simple to use and there are many, but you can save yourself a lot of time if you are already acquainted with the translating/navigation/food delivery apps instead of trying to figure everything out on the spot.

Korean Horizons- the best support there is

I applied for Korean Horizons feeling uncertain about the process to get to Korea. However, Alistair made the process extremely straight forward and easy for me. He not only reviewed and double checked my documents to make sure everything was correct, but he also held a mock Skype interview to make sure I was ready for the real thing. Even after I got to Korea, he made sure I had everything I needed to start my teaching journey and checked up on me throughout the move. Korean Horizons is efficient and extremely helpful in turning one's plans and ideas into concrete reality.

Very helpful and highly recommended

KH is very helpful and will guide you through whatever you need and support you through the process. KH are especially useful if you don't know where to start, what information you need and how you need to present yourself for this kind of role. This comes in very helpful when doing things like the interview as without Alistair's guidance I am not sure we would have been I would have been successful. KH have provided good communication and it is always helpful to have another set of eyes look over the admin stuff as well as the application stuff. Overall, Alistair was very helpful and I would highly recommend.

Korean Horizons- highly recommended recruitment agency

Alistair was extremely helpful with the EPIK application as he reviewed each part of the application thoroughly to ensure that there were no mistakes. He also provided support and helped me prepare for the EPIK Skype interview. He not only provides support before you arrive but also keeps in contact with you once you are in South Korea. He also offers a Gmarket service to help you get any essentials you may need during your first days in South Korea and you can pay him back at a later time. Alistair deals with his clients in a professional manner and his email responses are always lightning fast. He keeps you up to date with the process as it can be sometimes a long waiting period. I recommend Alistair to anyone who is looking to move to South Korea.

What was the most nerve-racking moment and how did you overcome it?
The EPIK interview- Alistair was very helpful and gave a practice run so you could feel more comfortable in your answers.
