Highly Recommend Korean Horizon

They have been so helpful in me getting a teaching position through EPIK!!! Alistair has been amazing!!! Guided my sister and I throughout the entire EPIK journey!!! He left no stone unturned!!

The greatest quality you’ll find is the attention to detail!!! - for example when we arrived in Korea, Korean Horizon sent us a care package! (See photo) So thoughtful!

Thank you for everything!!! You made the application process to seamless.

Every person that asks where do I apply I send them to Korean Horizon!!!

What was the most nerve-racking moment and how did you overcome it?
Interview day - I was extremely nervous!! But after a practice run with Korean Horizon, I knew I could do!

Excellent service

I would definitely recommend Korean Horizons to everyone who's looking for a teaching job in a public school in Korea! Alistair helped me with every step of my application process for Epik and explained everything in detail. He answered any and all questions that I had. Not only does he help you with your application, but he helps you even when you're in Korea. He sent a lovely personalized welcome package and offers a market service if you need to buy anything but can't really get it at the moment, Alistair will buy it for you. I think that this is such a great perk especially when you don't have a Korean bank account yet or don't have access to online shopping.

What was the most nerve-racking moment and how did you overcome it?
The Epik interview I think was the most nerve-wracking part of the whole process. Even though I failed the interview the first time around Alistair never gave up on me and gave me good tips to help me do well on the interview

100% recommend

I’ve just started my first year teaching in Korea thanks to Korean Horizons. I tried to go it alone at first, but it was more difficult than I expected. I couldn’t recommend a better agency than KH to help you navigate the complicated application and arrival processes. They were always there with an honest and prompt response to any question or need I’ve had so far, before and after getting the job and arriving in Korea. You’re in safe hands with this one!! I definitely recommend reaching out even if you’re just considering teaching in Korea.

Korean Horizons supplied me with the greatest thing of all:

Korean horizons supplied excellent advice and resources to help make the process easier to understand and gave me a competitive edge, however, the most invaluable thing Korean Horizons provided was a community of fellow applicants that formed a small, supportive, amazing community of candidates to share ideas, feedback, and make the journey together less isolating and more anchored by close acquaintances and amazing personalities sharing this experience. I wouldn't have enjoyed this process without the support of the people in the program and specifically those people within it who have made a world of difference.

What was the most nerve-racking moment and how did you overcome it?
The most nerve racking moment was finding out some of my paperwork was done incorrectly, (done without my full legal name), and I had to go through the paperwork process all over again to get it corrected! The paperwork was such a headache! Luckily, it all worked out!

Very helpful

This whole process has been a very long and arduous journey that I am not sure I would have been able to complete successfully without the assistance of Korean Horizons. The guidance and assistance received from Korean Horizons and Alistair have been of such great help. His regular check-ins and the way in which information is communicated helps to break down the process into small digestible sections that are more understandable and you will always feel that there is someone there to help you.

If you are one to have many questions about the whole program, I would recommend Korean Horizons as they are always speedy in answering and assisting you with any questions or issues that you may have.

So supportive!

I was so nervous when I first applied to this program! Just concerned about all the documents I’d need to gather, the steps I needed to take and of course the entire process of uplifting my life and moving to a whole new country! But I must say Alistair was incredibly supportive throughout. He would communicate regularly and was always available to answer questions or ease any worries I had. I would definitely recommend anyone who would like to teach in Korea to go through Korean Horizons! 10/10

What was the most unfamiliar thing you ate?
My first day out of quarantine I was able to explore my assigned city, Changwon. I went to a Chicken BBQ place and the host offered me Chicken Feet! It was a new experience for me but I absolutely loved it!

Korean Horizons

Great help throughout application process and also while I am abroad in Korea currently. If I ever had an issue or problem during application, coordinator was quick to reply and offer solutions or advice. Now that I am in Korea, I am able to contact him at any time with an issue. Currently living outside of Sejong city, a relatively new city in South Korea. Have recently met everyone at my school and although the level of English of the staff means it is hard to communicate at times, I'm sure it will come with time.

Amazing help!

Wow - Alistair and Korean Horizons have been a massive help to me this year. I would not have had the confidence or organization to keep track of everything needed to apply and get accepted to EPIK if it wasn’t for Alistair’s continuous support and guidance. He walks you through the entire process, start to finish. He answers emails faster than I can send them, and goes above and beyond to the point that you forget he is working with lots of people, not just you. His service really feels very tailored and personal. Cannot recommend highly enough!

Hey Paul - we did some research and it looks like the salary is controlled by the government, and there are pay grades. Appreciate the question, surely others are wondering too
